Estimado Presidente,

Es con gran placer que les informo que el Comité Organizador de los Juegos Olímpicos de Tokio 2020 (TOCOG) ha propuesto al Karate COI como deporte adicional para estos Juegos Olímpicos. La propuesta incluye las categorías individuales KATA (hombres y mujeres) y las categorías individuales KUMITE (3 categorías masculinas y 3 categorías femeninas).

En un día como este, por fin podemos compartir nuestra alegría y satisfacción por el trabajo realizado durante tantos años y el logro de este objetivo anhelado.

Dear President,

It is with great pleasure that I inform you that the Organising Committee of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games (TOCOG) has proposed to the IOC Karate as an additional sport for these Olympic Games. The proposal includes the individual KATA categories (male and female) and the individual KUMITE categories (3 male categories and 3 female categories).

On a day like this, we can finally share our joy and satisfaction for the work performed during so many years and the achievement of this objective longed for.
