COVID-19: WKF GUIDELINES AND RECOMMENDATIONS (UPDATED)

11/08/2020 12:01

Dear National Federations,

The WKF prioritizes health and safety of all athletes, coaches, technicians, volunteers, officials, spectators and staff. Therefore, in the current situation of the global pandemic, the WKF has considered necessary to develop the enclosed document with the WKF COVID guidelines that shall serve for guidance to our National Federations, but most importantly for event hosts, once activity resumes.

The document, which has been reviewed by the WKF Medical and Organising Commissions has used the scientific knowledge available at the moment, but shall be updated as necessary, as the pandemic is constantly evolving and protocols have to be adjusted, according to findings and further information made available by the relevant international medical organisations.

Certainly, this document shall serve as a guide for minimum WKF requirements, but will have to be seen jointly with all pertinent local authorities, that ultimately approve any event in their respective country, as all sport and recreation decisions must be based on State and Territory COVID-19 public health advice.

We trust that the WKF COVID guidelines will be of your interest. Stay Safe!

Antonio Espinós
WKF President
