La competencia de Karate durante los Juegos Panamericanos XVII se celebró en Mississauga Sports Centre - Toronto (Canadá) durante tres días (23-25 de julio de 2015). La competición de karate consistió en 10 eventos individuales de kumite (combate). los mejores atletas Panamericanos (40 hombres y 40 mujeres) mosytraron sus talento en la extraordinaria belleza de tatami de Mississauga Polideportivo. Hubo un total de 38 países participantes (de un total de 13 países miembros de la Pan Am Karate Federation), que es una muy alta representación del continente. En cuanto a la clasificación de los países, Brasil es el primer país para contrarrestar con 3 medallas de oro, 0 medallas de plata y 2 de bronce para un total de 5 medallas. Ecuador ocupa el segundo lugar (2/0/2), seguido por Argentina (2/0/1).
Karate competition during the XVII Pan American Games was held in Mississauga Sports Centre - Toronto (Canada) during three days (23-25 July 2015).
The karate competition consisted of 10 individual kumite events (fighting). Pan Am best athletes (40 men and 40 women) was showcase their talents on the strikingly beautiful tatami of Mississauga Sports Centre. There was a total of 38 participating countries (out of a total of 13 Pan Am Karate Federation member countries), which is a very high representation of the continent.
Concerning the classification of nations, Brazil is the first nation to counter with 3 gold medals, 0 silver medals and 2 bronze medals for a total of 5 medals. Ecuador ranks second (2/0/2), followed by Argentina (2/0/1).
