THE YOUTH CAMP BEGINS, SPONSORED BY PANAMSPORT, THE PARAGUAYAN OLYMPIC COMMITTEE, THE WKF, AND THE PKF!

YOUTH KARATE CAMP

With an opening ceremony, the Youth Karate Camp officially began—an event sponsored by Panam Sports, the Paraguayan Olympic Committee, the World Karate Federation (WKF), and the Pan American Karate Federation (PKF).

During the inauguration, Mr. Camilo Pérez López Moreira, President of the Paraguayan Olympic Committee, and Dr. José García Maañón, President of the PKF, addressed the participants.

From June 16 to 22, the Paraguayan Olympic Park becomes the epicenter of continental karate, hosting the best talents from across the Americas in a high-level training and competitive experience.

A total of 74 athletes and 17 coaches from 16 countries across the continent are participating:
Jamaica, Colombia, Nicaragua, Ecuador, Costa Rica, Grenada, El Salvador, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Honduras, Argentina, Bolivia, Trinidad and Tobago, Panama, Mexico, Barbados, and Paraguay.

This week will be dedicated to learning, technical development, and the strengthening of the Olympic spirit among young karate talents from the Americas, in preparation for the 2nd Junior Pan American Games Asunción 2025.
