WKF First Vice President José García Maañón participated in the different events that were celebrated this past week in Argentina to welcome IOC member Sheikh Ahmed Al-Fahad Al-Ahmed Al-Sabah. The Kuwaiti visited Argentina where he met different sports officials as the South American country is getting ready to host the 2018 Youth Olympic Games in Buenos Aires.
Mr. García Maañón took part in the events under his duties as Vice President of the Argentinean National Olympic Committee. Sheikh Ahmed Al-Fahad Al-Ahmed Al-Sabah is the President of the Association of National Olympic Committees (ANOC) and Vice President of the Olympic Channel Services.
The IOC member visited the headquarters of the Argentinean National Olympic Committee as well as the venues that will host the Olympic Village and the Olympic Park of the upcoming Youth Olympic Games in Buenos Aires.
During his visit, Sheikh Ahmed Al-Fahad Al-Ahmed Al-Sabah praised the preparations for the Buenos Aires 2018 Youth Olympic Games and expressed his confidence that the Games would be a great success.
