XXXIV Pan American Karate Championship U12, U14, Cadet and Junior – Asunción 2025

The city of Asunción, Paraguay, became the center of youth karate in the Americas by hosting the XXXIV Pan American Championship 2025. For three days, young athletes from different countries competed in the U12, U14, Cadet, and Junior categories, showcasing discipline, effort, and passion. The tournament delivered great matches and a very balanced medal table, confirming the growth of karate throughout the continent.


Day 1 – The youngest in action (U12 & U14)

The first day was full of excitement.

  • The United States dominated in kata and also added medals in kumite.
  • Brazil stood out with several kumite medals.
  • Ecuador celebrated victories in the male divisions.
  • Panama surprised with titles in both kata and kumite.
  • Chile and Venezuela also achieved important golds.

Conclusion: Brazil and the United States started at the top, but Ecuador, Panama, Chile, and Venezuela also shined.


Day 2 – Cadets set the pace

The second day clearly displayed the technical quality of the cadets.

  • The United States once again stood out in kata.
  • The Dominican Republic achieved a historic title.
  • Chile, Brazil, and Venezuela excelled in kumite.
  • Mexico added two very valuable gold medals.
  • Ecuador celebrated again in kumite.
  • Argentina earned a silver medal, confirming the level of its young karatekas in the region.

Balance: Cadets distributed medals among many countries, proving how competitive the tournament was.


Day 3 – Closing with the juniors

The last day was lived with great intensity.

  • Brazil and the United States claimed more titles in kata and kumite.
  • Chile celebrated in several divisions.
  • Mexico and Canada achieved important victories.
  • Venezuela continued to add in male kumite.
  • Paraguay thrilled the crowd with a gold medal at home.

  • Argentina, although without gold on the final day, was once again present in the finals, reflecting the effort of its athletes.
